Musikalische Prinzipien – insbesondere das Strukturprinzip der Mehrstimmigkeit, die sog. »Polyphonie«, sowie das Formund Kompositionsprinzip der »Fuge« – können als Analogie zum Verständnis psychodynamischer Prozesse in der Balintgruppenarbeit dienen. Die während der Balintgruppenarbeit und -leitung für die Autorin entstehende »Musik der Gruppe« mit ihren Spannungs-, Resonanzund Bedeutungsbewegungen wird in diesem Beitrag u. a. mit dem von Mahnkopf (2023) beschriebenen Konzept des »diagonalen Hörens« verknüpft. Ergänzt wird diese Perspektive durch theoretische Überlegungen zur Balintgruppenarbeit und psychodynamische Konzepte wie Sterns (2019) »dynamische Vitalitätsformen« und Foulkes »Gruppenmatrix« (1986, 1990). Der Beitrag diskutiert zudem, inwiefern musikalische Analogien und »musikalisches Hören« von Beziehungen in der Balintgruppenarbeit genutzt und dadurch professionelle Haltung, Identität und Interventionstätigkeit der Balintgruppenleitung erweitert werden können.
Abstract:
Musical principles – particularly the structural principle of polyphony, that is, multi-voicedness, as well as the formal and compositional principle of the fugue – can serve as analogies for understanding psychodynamic processes in Balint group work. The »music of the group« emerging during Balint group work and leadership, with its movements of tension, resonance, and meaning, is linked, among other things, to the concept of »diagonal listening« as described by Mahnkopf (2023). This perspective is further complemented by theoretical considerations of Balint group work and psychodynamic concepts such as Stern’s (2019) »dynamic vitality forms« and Foulke’s concept of the »group-matrix« (1986, 1990). The article furthermore discusses the possibility of musical analogies and »musical listening« to relationships in Balint group work and how, in doing so, the professional attitude, identity, and intervention practices of Balint group leaders may be expanded.
